Fish-eye view of digital lab

Digital imaging lab... accommodating up to four people, our digital lab is equipped with Apple iMacs, a G5 and A MacPro all running Adobe Photoshop (ver. 7.0 through CS3 Extended). Adobe Lightroom used. Nikon film scanner and Epson flatbed scanners handle everything from 35mm film to medium or large format negs and transparencies.

We have Epson inkjet printers offering up to A2 archival colour prints and quality digital B&W prints. Monitors and printers are colour calibrated and profiled for various paper stocks.

Print darkroom...comfortably takes six workers. It is designed for easy printing up to 16x20 inch B&W prints. Two large wet benches provide ample space for toning baths.

All enlargers will cover 35mm; four medium format and one 5x4 inch large format negatives. We use Durst and DeVere enlargers with quality lenses and the latest R H Designs timers/analyser.

Film darkroom... a smaller darkroom dedicated to film processing and loading. Refrigerated film stock is stored here. Our 6-bath automated processor can handle a wide variety of processes and gives us on-site E-6 slide film processing.

Our darkrooms are ventilated and a pleasure to work in.

Guest lounge/library... as well as our 'classroom' area, for six people, we have a lounge and library with comfortable seating.

Exhibition space... there is hanging space throughout - we currently have prints by artist/photographer Karen Melvin, Stephen Coll, friends and students.
